Forex and CFDs brokerage AvaTrade has added a new cryptocurrency to its trading portfolio, Bitcoin Cash. The online trading company now offers 7 altcoins on its platform, including Bitcoin, Ripple, Litecoin, Dash, Ethereum, and Ethereum Classic. The new cryptocurrency will available to trade against the US dollar under the symbol BCH/USD.
Bitcoin Cash was launched earlier this month, following the Bitcoin fork. The new altcoin has the third highest trading volume, with Bitcoin and Ethereum leading the pack.
Daire Ferguson, the Chief Executive Officer of AvaTrade, named 2017 as the year of altcoin trading. “2017 is the year of crypto trading, and we are very proud to be leading the industry and offering our clients the best trading environment. What drives us in everything we do are our clients – and we are happy to answer their needs and constantly strive to offer new and exciting trading opportunities.”
Earlier this month, Admiral Markets launched Bitcoin Cash on its website, pairing it up with the US dollar. The online trading company made the coin available to both demo and live trading accounts at the time. Following its split from the Bitcoin, the new cryptocurrency rallied from $214 to $628 in a matter of a few hours. Despite the soaring value, the new altcoin was worth a mere fifth of the value of its forefather, which was traded at $2770 back then.
In June, AvaTrade added new cryptocurrency pairs to its asset list – Ethereum Classic against the US dollar and Bitcoin against the euro.
