Admiral Markets AS announced that Victor Gherbovet, who was the group’s Co-Chief Executive Officer and a member of the Management Board, has resigned.
Gherbovet’s term with the Estonian company will end on Wednesday.
A Short Tenure at the Apex Role
He is parting from Admiral Markets after spending a long 13 years with the company in several roles. He joined the broker as the Director of its Romanian branch in 2008 and later became the ESEU General Manager. He began serving on the Management Board from July 2020 and was promoted to the shared apex role last March.
“We are extremely grateful to him for the years he was part of the Admirals team. His contribution to the development of the company has been enormous, and together we have celebrated great victories, learned valuable lessons and approached the long-term goals we have set ourselves as a company,” Admiral Markets CEO, Sergei Bogatenkov said on Gherbovet’s departure.
“Although I am sorry that such a valued player is leaving our team, I understand his desire to move forward and wish him well in accepting the new challenges.”
Gherbovet attended the Academy of Economic Studies in Bucharest for four years and started his career as a credit officer at EXIMBANK-Gruppo Veneto Banca, according to his Linkedin profile. Before Admiral Markets, he spent a couple of years at Asito Kapital as a Key Account Manager.
However, his future ambitions are not known yet.
Meanwhile, Admiral Markets is expanding aggressively. The group rebranded its business to Admirals and established a subsidiary in Jordan as a part of its expansion in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region. It has further plans to open offices in Canada and South Africa later this year.
