Twitch To Broadcast Premier League Football Matches

Twitch to broadcast Premier League football matches. For the first time in the UK, Amazon’s livestreaming network Twitch will be officially broadcasting some English Premier League football matches.

Four games will be streamed, starting with Crystal Palace versus Burnley on June 29th, reports Deadline. Amazon will also use ‘stadium atmosphere’ crowd noises in the matches, as are the other big broadcasters like Sky.

“We are extremely passionate about delivering the best experience for our customers whilst following guidelines to ensure the safety of our production team,” said Alex Green, MD of Amazon Prime Video Sport Europe.

The Premier League started up again on Wednesday (June 17th), after a temporary shutdown due to coronavirus in March.
