LOUD creates Fortnite team in Brazil. Brazilian eSports organisation, LOUD announced the creation of a team to play in Fortnite. LOUD competes primarily in Garena’s mobile game called Free Fire.
LOUD CEO Bruno “Playhard” Bittencourt shared that investing in and setting up a team dedicated to Fortnite is part of an overall plan to increase the audience on the platforms of the organisation.
He added that “The demographics of our content channels and Fortnite audience are similar”.
In addition to bringing in new fans, LOUD ‘s venture into the new modality can also foster new sponsorships and commercial deals, Bittencourt says.
Brazil still has no organised Fortnite competition scene. The competitions are still separate and do not qualify for world championships. Bittencourt explains that this may be another opportunity that is not yet explored in the country, as it was with Free Fire. The formation of the new team will allow LOUD to grow alongside the development of the Fortnite esports scene in Brazil.
LOUD is one of the most well known esports organisations in Brazil. It recently became the worlds first esports organisation to break 1B views on YouTube.
