Bitcoin And Crypto Influencers Complain About Twitter’s Shadow Ban

Influential members of the bitcoin and crypto community have taken to Twitter to complain about how Twitter has “shadow-banned” them, limiting their reach and impressions.

“They’re doing it, people,” tech investor and founder of bitcoin and cryptocurrency news and analysis website The Block, Mike Dudas, said. “Crypto Twitter has been shadow-banned. I’ve noticed this on my account this week.”

Mike Dudas was commenting in response to a complaint made by crypto developer Anthony Sassano who tweeted: “Any tweets that I post get way less impressions than normal.”

Neeraj Agrawal of Washington D.C.-based cryptocurrency policy think tank Coin Center added “I think [Twitter] limited tweet reach [and] impressions.”

“I started using LinkedIn again out of desperation,” said Nic Carter, partner at blockchain-focused venture capital fund, Castle Island Ventures, Nic Carter.

This comes as the industry braces itself for one of its biggest events – the bitcoin halving.
