The Football Association of Ireland (FAI) has announced a commercial partnership with Irish online betting and social networking company BragBet.
Under the deal, BragBet has become the official betting partner of the national governing body and the Republic of Ireland national football team.
BragBet, which is backed by telecommunications company Telefonica, allows for interaction between friends via mobile and online platforms.
“We are absolutely delighted to sign this deal with the FAI and become the official betting sponsors of the Irish national team,” BragBet chief executive Phil Riordan said. “This is an exciting time for BragBet and for the game in Ireland. Hopefully, our work together will promote the boys in green and generate more interest in the Irish game.”
FAI Chief Executive John Delaney added, “The partnership will give us a great platform for further promotion of the game and will provide funding to support the work that we are doing on many levels to grow Irish football.”
