Nevada reveals gambling revenue drop in February

The Nevada Gaming Control Board has said that the US state suffered a 4.5% year-on-year decline in gambling revenue during February.

Revenue last month amounted to $945.6 million (€876.1 million), which is also down on the €1 billion collected by Nevada casinos in January of this year.

The Las Vegas Strip was responsible for more than half of gambling revenue in February, although the $542 million generated represents a decline of almost 5% on the same month last year.

However, Nevada was able to benefit from almost $52 million in percentage fees based on taxable revenue generated in the month, up around 2.9% on February 2016.
