LCS Players Association Reveals New Leadership Team

The Players Association for North America’s professional League of Legends league, the LCS, has revealed its new leadership team led by new executive director Philip Aram, formerly an executive at Evil Geniuses. The LCS PA will also have a new board of directors consisting of former pro player and Pipeline CEO Stephen Ellis, Jason Docton, founder and CEO of non-profit Rise Above The Disorder, attorney Ryan Fairchild, Theorycraft founder and partner Lauren Gaba Flanagan, and New Level Recruiting VP Brian Tran.

Leadership on the players’ side will consist of president Darshan Upadhyaya and VPs Jo “CoreJJ” Yong-in and Samson “Lourlo” Jackson.

The LCSPA was initially established and funded by Riot Games. According to Aram on Twitter, while the association has a reserve of funding remaining from Riot’s involvement, it will receive no future funding from the publisher, nor will the company have any direct involvement. Aram stated that the LCSPA will develop a new sustainability plan which will be finalized next year. The association will also work to increase player participation in its activities.
