AGA Recruits FanDuel For Responsible Gambling Project

The American Gaming Association (AGA) has announced Flutter Entertainment-owned FanDuel Group has become the first mobile sportsbook operator to sign up for its “Have A Game Plan, Bet Responsibly” public service campaign.

Under the arrangement, FanDuel will make a multi-million-dollar commitment of its media inventory, as well as league and team assets, and direct them towards responsible gambling messaging.

FanDuel will also work with its league, team and media partners to promote the campaign across television, radio, digital and in-venue media in the US, with the aim of rolling out the first of this content in May.

“We are not only going to commit substantial FanDuel resources to promote ‘Have a Game Plan’ but we intend to build a consortium of partners throughout the sports and gaming business to scale this initiative and we encourage other operators to join us,” FanDuel chief executive Matt King said.

AGA president and chief executive Bill Miller added: “FanDuel’s commitment to support and grow ‘Have a Game Plan’ couldn’t come at a better time.

“Responsibility to our customers has always been a pillar of AGA member operations. Extending this to meet the new realities of an expanded sports betting ecosystem is going to require full collaboration with everyone involved in it – gaming operators, media companies and leagues and teams.”

Meanwhile, FanDuel and Boyd Gaming have announced plans to launch Stardust-branded online casinos in New Jersey and Pennsylvania, in a roll-out that will see the return of the gaming brand to real-money gaming.

Pending final regulatory approval in each state, the Stardust casinos will launch next month. FanDuel will rebrand its existing Betfair Casino in New Jersey under Boyd’s Stardust brand, as well as launch a new a Stardust casino in Pennsylvania.

Players in both states will have access to a range of casino games such as slots, blackjack, roulette, video poker, and baccarat, as well as live dealer games.

Both the Pennsylvania and New Jersey casinos will also be linked to Boyd’s B Connected player loyalty program, allowing players to earn points and tier credits for their play on Stardust Casino.

“For nearly 50 years, the Stardust was one of the most famous casinos on the Las Vegas Strip, and while the resort has been gone for more than a decade, the Stardust brand is still as well-known and popular as ever,” Boyd president and chief executive Keith Smith said.

“We are excited to work with our partners at FanDuel to launch our first real-money online casinos and are confident this legendary brand will give us a significant advantage in connecting with players looking for a distinctive online gaming experience.”

FanDuel president Amy Howe added: “Stardust Casino allows us to take a market leading product to the next level, creating a unified platform across New Jersey and Pennsylvania and integrating Boyd’s B Connected player loyalty program to provide even more value to our customers.”
