Bally’s Scores Sports Betting Partnership With NBA

Casino operator Bally’s Corporation has secured its second deal with a US major league in a matter of weeks by entering into a partnership with the National Basketball Association (NBA).

The multi-year agreement will see Bally’s become an authorized sports betting operator of the NBA.

Bally’s will have access to official league data, as well as rights to use official NBA marks and logos across its portfolio of online sports betting products.

The two parties will also work together on practices to protect the integrity of NBA games.

“Partnering with the NBA is an exceptional opportunity for Bally’s, adding to our ongoing momentum with professional sports leagues,” Bally’s president and chief executive George Papanier said.

“Together with the NBA, we will unlock significant opportunities to provide a greater population of NBA fans with new, creative, and engaging sports betting products and services.”

Last month, Bally’s also agreed to a deal to become an official sports betting partner of the National Hockey League (NHL), in what was its first agreement with a US major league.

In November, Bally’s announced a strategic partnership with Sinclair Broadcast Group, whose 19 regional sports networks account for more than half of the US NBA teams.

This week, Bally’s reported a net loss of $5.5m for its 2020 financial year after the temporary closure of its land-based casinos in the US-led to a 28.8% drop in revenue.
