Sports wagering and daily fantasy sports operator DraftKings has appointed Christine Thurmond as its new Director of Responsible Gaming.
Reporting to Chief Compliance Officer Tim Dent, Thurmond will oversee the expansion of DraftKings’ responsible gaming framework for its online gaming, sportsbook and fantasy sports products.
Thurmond joins the operator from the Massachusetts Council on Compulsive Gambling, where she had been serving as a senior business contributor.
Prior to this, she spent almost 20 years working at Harvard Medical School, serving in various leadership positions including on the original team that created the Division on Addiction.
