Kingston Technology gaming division HyperX announced Thursday a new sponsorship deal with WNBA player and Twitch content creator Aerial “POWERzSURGE” Powers.
Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Under the terms of the new deal, HyperX becomes the “official gaming audio sponsor of Aerial Powers,” who will now use the company’s headsets while streaming and gaming as a “HyperX brand ambassador.” She will also receive the “HyperX Heroes treatment,” which will include a “hero illustration inspired by her gaming persona” created by HyperX.
Powers officially launched her POWERzSURGE channel on Twitch in 2019 as a way to directly connect with her fans during downtime with the WNBA and share her passion for playing games such as Apex Legends, Call of Duty, and NBA 2K. In October of 2020, she signed with the gaming division of talent management agency Ford Models, and in January, she joined esports organization Team Liquid as a content creator, brand ambassador, and a leading voice to promote diversity in esports and gaming.
