Stalker 2 reveals new details in trailer. Stalker 2 developer GSC Game World unveiled new information with a new trailer released on the official Xbox YouTube channel for its long-awaited, open-world survival horror game.
The trailer follows a new protagonist named Skif as he explores a school on the outskirts of Pripyat – the Ukrainian town that was abandoned nearly overnight when the nearby Chernobyl nuclear power plant melted down. He’s in a bit of a hurry because the exclusion zone, which is haunted by things much stranger than lingering radiation, is about to have an emission.
This trailer and an accompanying Xbox Wire blog post gives players a first look at the events that can turn their surroundings deadly at anytime.
The developers state that the development on Stalker 2 is “progressing smoothly” and on both Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S, with 4K graphics for the beefier console, they plan to support ray-tracing. As soon as it releases, it will be available as an Xbox Game Pass title, although the studio is not ready to share a release date just yet.
