Scientific Games has rolled out its OpenGaming product suite with sports betting and daily fantasy sports operator DraftKings in the state of New Jersey.
Under the arrangement, DraftKings will gain access to the entire library of available titles from Scientific Games, including in-house games and third-party content from partner studios.
Content will be supplied through SG Digital’s Open Gaming System aggregation platform, which forms part of the end-to-end OpenGaming product suite.
“New Jersey is booming right now, and DraftKings has a strong foothold in the market,” SG Digital’s Senior Vice President casino Dylan Slaney said. “Throw our content and platform into the mix, and you’ve got a powerful combination of two market leaders that will bring players the best online gaming experiences available today.”
Last month, DraftKings announced that it had struck a deal to be acquired by a special purpose acquisition company alongside betting and gaming technology provider SBTech.
The agreement stated that Diamond Eagle Acquisition Corp would acquire both businesses to create what is described as “the only vertically-integrated pure-play sports betting and online gaming company” based in the US.
However, earlier this month it was revealed that Diamond Eagle Acquisition Corp had filed a registration document revealing DraftKings made a loss of $114.1m in the first nine months of 2019.
The document also confirmed that DraftKings will – eventually – migrate from its current sportsbook technology partner Kambi to SBTech’s solution.
