Russian organisation Gambit Esports has announced a partnership with multinational consumer electronics brand LG Electronics.
Under the terms of the deal LG will equip Gambit’s training facilities with UltraGear gaming monitors, while Gambit will include LG branding on social media. The one-year partnership will also see Fortnite player Mark “letw1k3” Danilov take on the role of brand ambassador for LG.
Commenting on the partnership Sports Director of Gambit Esports, Konstantin Pikiner, said:
“We are delighted to welcome LG as our new partner. Gamers from all around the world – including esports athletes – prefer to use products of LG, especially their gaming monitors.
“I want to note that this is the first time in the history of the Club that our player becomes an ambassador of such a recognized brand. I am sure that Mark will do his best and together we will prepare a lot of interesting projects for our community.”
While IT Sales Director of LG Electronics Russia, Andrey Gospodynko, added:
“LG Electronics status in esports and gaming is growing day by day. Today we are happy to announce our new project. Cooperation with Gambit Esports promises to become one of the brightest events of 2020.
“Our hopes are high for teams future results and we wish best of luck to all its members. We are ready to support Mark as he builds professional career and wish him success in the years to come.”
Gambit Esports also has commercial deals in place with Cougar, MTS and Tornado Energy (read more), while Gambit’s League of Legends team has previously been sponsored by Taiwan and US-based monitor and display manufacturer ViewSonic (read more).
On its part, LG has a growing esports portfolio, having sponsored ESL, Dire Wolves and Eintracht Frankfurt Esports.
