Lee Richardson, an experienced igaming industry executive, has joined betting start up Btwiice as a non-executive director to help it launch and sign its first customers.
Btwiice provides ‘insurance’ to football and in-running punters by guaranteeing them the potential gains from their bets whether they win or lose. For a premium based on the odds of the bet, punters can ‘lock in’ their winnings.
Julien Cunze, co-founder and chief executive of Btwiice, said he was delighted to have “someone as experienced and well-connected as Lee join Btwiice. He has a fantastic contacts book but he also brings invaluable experience with regard to managing and driving the business forward”.
The start up is looking to raise £300,000 “to launch and sign our first clients” added Cunze. “We’re targeting small and medium-sized operators who might not have the internal resources to set up a ‘cash out’ equivalent of a Betfair or William Hill. We believe our product would offer their clients a great way to lock in their winnings and provide them with a differentiating USP.”
Lee Richardson, who has worked at the Tote, Coral Eurobet, Boylesports and ONEworks among others, commented: “I’m delighted to have joined BTwiice, and helping them at their vital stage of business development and growth.”
