Online casino operator Locus Gaming has reported an increase in traffic for its Jacks Gold Casino mobile-focused brand since the launch of a new television advertising campaign.
The operator launched its first phase of commercials at the end of October, with the campaign culminating in one new player winning a solid gold bar in a prize draw.
During the period that the adverts were aired, the firm said that visits to the website more than doubled while the number of active real-money players increased 75%.
The campaign took on the theme of the California Gold Rush, before returning to the modern day where it explained players can utilize technology to access Jack Gold’s table and slots games.
The television adverts were initially aired on UK commercial broadcasters ITV and Channel 5, as well as pay-television broadcaster BSkyB.
Ed Andrewes, Locus Gaming’s chief executive officer, said that the success of the campaign was encouraging at a time where gambling and gaming adverts on UK television are under review.
“We didn’t take the decision to do above the line advertising lightly as there is considerable expense associated with it,” he said.
“We were also aware of concerns over saturation coverage. But we are pleased with the increased awareness, including a boost in the credibility of the site among new and existing customers and tangible commercial returns.
“We’re confident we’ve got the right product available on the right platforms for today’s casino customers, but it’s crucially important to reach out rather than expecting them to find us.”
