Localhost Los Angeles will be 26,000 square feet, stocked up with 375 gaming PCs and consoles, and have facilities for refreshments and apparel. Nerd Street Gamers plans for the facility to host tournaments of up to 120 teams with room for “hundreds of spectators.”
John Fazio, Founder and CEO of Nerd Street Gamers, discussed the venture in a release: “This is going to be an iconic gathering place for the entire community – pro gamers, amateur competitors, and people that just want to have a blast with their friends. Los Angeles is the cultural capital of the gaming industry. This facility sets a new standard for public esports facilities, and matches the scale of the passion and the community.”
Earlier this week, Nerd Street Gamers tapped architectural design firm Populous to design its future Localhost venues. As part of the partnership, it will indeed be in charge of designing Localhost Los Angeles.
