Vindex, the esports infrastructure platform, has partnered with entertainment technology company IMAX to create esports events and experiences exclusively for IMAX® theaters worldwide.
The companies say they aim to create the world’s leading theatrical distribution platform, featuring an “unparalleled premium viewing experience” for esports fans. The partnership will see Vindex broadcast esports content and events across the network helping connect global and local esports fan communities.
Vindex Studios, a newly launched division of Vindex focused on developing, distributing and monetizing esports content, will power the partnership.
Discussing the collaboration Vindex CEO, Mike Sepso, explained:
